Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom, there are alternatives our there and I am going to share with you my favourites in todays post.

Prior to using Thieves for our cleaning products, I shopped what I thought was ‘eco and safe’. I bought brands that were labelled, ‘natural, eco, earthy, clean’ etc. It turns out I was fooled by greenwashing. Laundry Soap

Did you know the number one poison in the family home is Laundry?! Laundry soap, Fabric softener, Dryer sheets. As your washing your clothes, it’s filling your home with chemicals, then you wear your clothes all day long and have topical exposure to your skin, and then the clothes outgas all night long in your closet as you sleep, and you breathe the chemicals in. YIKES! After learning that there are many hidden ingredients in laundry detergents, (even products that I thought were safe because of marketing) Switching to Thieves laundry detergent has been the best decision!! Did you know it only takes 26 seconds for the toxic chemicals to seep into our blood stream?! No thanks.
The plant-based formula is free from SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), dyes, petrochemicals, formaldehyde, phosphates, synthetic perfume, and optical brighteners. Actually safe friends.
Laundry Hack (Diluting is NOT required! )We have found that diluting the Laundry Soap helps us use the right amount of product. This is a super concentrated cleaner and a little goes a long way!!
Pour half of the bottle of detergent in a large jar or container. Save for later.
Add 3 capfuls of Thieves cleaner concentrate and 10 drops of the oil of your choice.
Top the jar with water and shake.

It might surprise you that dish soap has toxins! I know, was shocked to find that out. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is what makes a lot of dish soap foam up, it can also be a skin irritant and cause other issues.
*I highly recommend looking into what you are using to “clean” your dishes!*
Thieves dish soap is a plant-based formula is free from SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), SLES (sodium lauryl ether sulfate), dyes, formaldehyde, phosphates, and synthetic perfumes. An added bonus, Thieves dish soap isn’t just great for cleaning dishes, It works as a great stain remover too!

Thieves Foaming Hand Soap & Hand Purifier

In addition to the major players above I love having the Thieves foaming hand soap throughout the house at every sink and a hand purifier basically everywhere (i.e. in the car, pram, on the go!) The instant foam of the hand soap makes it super easy to lather and rinse and my skin always feels so soft and never dried out. As with everything in this line it’s formulated without sulfates, dyes, synthetic fragrances, or harsh chemicals.
